EYFS Teaching Assistant

Permanent 

Salary: Band 5 (scp5) £25,583 

Hours:  Full Time  -  37 hours per week 
             Term time only + 5 PD days (195 days per annum)

Actual Salary: £22,103-£22,603 

 

Eldon Grove Academy are seeking to appoint a committed and highly effective Teaching Assistant to who will contribute to meeting the needs of all pupils in all aspects of the Primary Curriculum and the wider life of the school. This post, in the first instance, is based Nursery, supporting children at the very start of their school journey.  The successful applicant will become part of a forward thinking stand out school which became part of the Extol Trust on 1st July 2013. 

 

The successful candidate should have: 

  • The ability to work confidently with groups and individual pupils under the guidance of a teacher;

  • A proven ability to inspire, engage and motivate young children to learn;

  • Experience supporting children Early Years or Key Stage 1; 

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Development Matters and the National Curriculum for KS1;

  • Good knowledge and understanding of effective intervention; 

  • High expectations and the experience of working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team; 

  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability.
