Class Dojo

We aim to keep parents up to date with everything involving their child's development at a time that is accessible by everyone. We believe in fostering a strong partnership between home and school, and to achieve this, we proudly utilise Class Dojo as our primary communication platform. Class Dojo is a user-friendly, interactive tool that connects parents, carers and teachers seamlessly.

At the heart of our positive behaviour policy, Class Dojo allows us to reinforce and celebrate the exemplary behaviour of our students. Regular updates about school trips, visits, and parental consultations will be shared on this platform, ensuring that you stay well-informed and engaged in your child's educational journey.

Class Dojo can be accessed through internet browsers or as an app on a mobile phone/tablet. Once information is sent, you will have all the information to hand and this in turn, unlike paper copies which can be mislaid or lost, will alleviate the need to contact school to check details as information is stored and retained on your device.

Our dedicated teachers use Class Dojo to provide a window into the classroom through 'curriculum in action' snapshots. These posts offer glimpses of daily learning, milestones, and moments of achievement. It's an excellent way for us to celebrate the progress and success of our students, and for parents and carers to feel connected and involved in your child's educational experience.

If any parent/carer does not have access to a mobile phone, tablet, laptop or computer, there will be a few paper copies of correspondence available in the reception for collection. However, we don’t anticipate this to be many in this technological age.

In order to log onto the Class Dojo platform, all we require is a valid email address. Teachers will then send out class codes so that adults can be added to their child's class. For assistance, please speak to your class teacher or please contact school with your email address (admin@eldongroveacademy.co.uk) and we will support you in the process. You will be required to sign into this facility to be able to access the information etc.

Class Dojo is available as a free app. It keeps school-related messages separate from your usual email inbox so that they are easy to access at any time. A web version of Class Dojo is available, but the app version of Class Dojo offers many benefits and is more convenient to access.

Parent Pay

Currently, we streamline the process of making school payments and giving consent for trips using Parent Pay. This convenient platform is your one-stop solution for school lunch payments, trip fees, and granting permissions for off-site visits. Additionally, Parent Pay simplifies the booking of parental consultations with class teachers during the Autumn and Spring terms. We value your time and aim to make essential school interactions effortless.
