  • About Us

Eldon Grove Academy is a thriving, inclusive primary school and nursery for children aged 3 to 11, proudly serving the Hartlepool community. We are a school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Our school provides a happy, safe and inspiring environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging. We believe that children learn best when they feel secure, supported and challenged, and we work hard to create a culture where everyone is respected, valued and encouraged to succeed.

At the heart of our school is a commitment to developing confident, caring and responsible young people. Alongside academic achievement, we place great importance on character development, helping children to become independent learners, effective team members and respectful citizens. We encourage kindness, resilience, curiosity and ambition in everything we do.

Our curriculum is broad, balanced and ambitious, carefully designed to provide rich learning experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning. We place a strong emphasis on reading, writing, mathematics and communication, while ensuring that pupils develop their creativity, critical thinking and wider talents across the curriculum. Educational visits, visitors and enrichment opportunities bring learning to life, helping children make meaningful connections between the classroom and the wider world.

Positive relationships underpin our success. We have high expectations for behaviour and conduct, teaching children the importance of respect, responsibility and good manners. By working closely with parents and carers, we create a strong partnership that enables every child to flourish.

Eldon Grove Academy is a school with high aspirations for every pupil. Through excellent teaching, a caring ethos and a commitment to continuous improvement, we aim to ensure that every child leaves us with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed in the next stage of their education and beyond.
